# How to fold towels properly

Towels can be folded in three main ways: into thirds for shelves, into rolls for trolleys, and into decorative shapes for presentation. The choice depends on where you store the towel and what impression you want to create.

A neatly folded [towel with a logo](/uteraky-s-potlacou/) also looks professional and underlines the standard of your establishment.

## 1. Classic thirds fold

The most practical method for shelves and cupboards. Fold the towel lengthways into thirds, then fold again into halves or thirds to form a compact rectangle. The advantage is space saving and tidy stacking. If the logo is on the border, turn it to face outwards so it is visible.

## 2. Rolling into a cylinder

A rolled towel is ideal for wellness trolleys, open shelves and poolside. It looks neat, is easy to pick up one at a time and the whole stack won't topple. Roll tightly from the shorter end, optionally with the logo on top.

## 3. Decorative shapes for presentation

For a more exclusive impression in rooms and spas, towels are folded into shapes such as a fan or a fishtail. They are eye-catching in photos and for welcoming guests, but more time-consuming - so they are better suited to presentation than to everyday operations.

## Why the material matters too

Even the best folding will disappoint if the towel is thin or quickly loses its shape. Quality terry with a higher GSM and an [embroidered](/vysivanie/) or woven-in logo holds its form even after dozens of washes. Avoid folding damp towels and avoid packing them too tightly, which prevents ventilation.
