Sublimation printing is a technique in which special dyes are infused directly into the material at high temperature and become part of it - the print does not peel and never fades even after many washes. It is best suited to light polyester, sportswear, mugs and towel borders. It delivers full-colour photo quality; we prepare a free graphic design and a price quote within 1 hour.
How does sublimation printing work?
From printing onto transfer paper to infusing the colour into the material. We manage the entire process for you - you just approve the design.
- 1 Printing onto transfer paper We print the design with sublimation dyes onto special transfer paper.
- 2 Heat press At around 200 °C the dyes turn to gas and infuse directly into the material.
- 3 Fixing in the fibre The colour becomes part of the material - the result is smooth, durable and never fades.

Sublimation printing is a technique in which special dyes are infused directly into the material at high temperature and become part of it. The print does not peel and never fades even after many washes. It is suited to light polyester, ceramic and metal with a suitable coating.
We print the design with sublimation dyes onto special transfer paper. At around 200 °C the dyes turn to gas and infuse directly into the material, where they set. The result is a smooth, durable print that cannot be felt on touch.
Colour permanently in the fibre (does not peel), full-colour photo quality with subtle gradients, exceptional durability against washing and UV, and versatility on fabric, ceramic and metal with a polyester coating.
Mainly light polyester and suitable surfaces: sports towels, bath sheets, cushions, blankets, mugs and bottles. Not suited to cotton or dark fabric.
Sublimation infuses colour directly into light polyester - it never fades and cannot be felt. Digital printing applies colour to the surface and also works on cotton. For cotton and dark fabric we recommend digital printing, screen printing or transfer print.
